Rights Groups Demand Justice in Lagos Murder Case

Rights groups are calling for the whereabouts of Sheriff Ishola Salami, the prime suspect in the murder of Princ Kazeem Ademola Akinloy, who was killed on April 18, 2023, in Eti Osa Local Government Area, Lagos State. Allegations have emerged that Salami was not remanded at Ikoyi Correctional Centre as ordered by the High Court, raising serious concerns about the integrity of the justice system.

Comrade Alex Omotehin, representing the Ajiran Community, expressed that the community is traumatized and living in fear. He accused authorities of undermining the justice process and failing to protect victims.

Femi Lawson from the Campaign for Democracy described the alleged disappearance of Salami as unacceptable and called for an independent investigation into the matter. The police have been urged to comply with court orders and ensure that justice is served, as the failure to do so suggests a deliberate attempt to subvert the legal process.
