Lagos Lawmaker Foluke Osafile Defects from Labour Party to ADC

Lagos State House of Assembly member, Foluke Osafile, representing the Amuwo Odofin Constituency, has officially defected from the Labour Party to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Osafile confirmed her move, stating that her decision aims to better serve her constituency and advance the interests of her constituents.

She expressed her commitment to collaborating with the ADC leadership to promote good governance and strengthen democratic institutions. Osafile assured her constituents of her loyalty and emphasized that their trust will continue to guide her work.

She also mentioned her victory on the Labour Party platform in the 2019 elections, which faced initial challenges at the tribunal but was later reinstated by the Court of Appeal. Osafile is expected to make a formal announcement of her defection during a plenary session.
