Lagos Receives Five Fuel Vessels Amid Supply Concerns

Lagos has recently received five fuel vessels that delivered a combined total of 95,000 metric tons of fuel, including petrol and diesel, as concerns about fuel supply stability in Nigeria continue to grow. The vessels arrived at Apapa and Tin Island Port over a 48-hour period from March 27 to March 29, 2026.

According to data obtained from the Nigerian Port Authority, the vessels included the Hudson Dock, which discharged 22,000 metric tons of diesel on March 27. Another vessel, Kingi, was scheduled to deliver 15,000 metric tons of petrol at Lister Oil Jetty in Apapa.

Additionally, a vessel arrived via the Bulk Oil Plant Terminal on Saturday, delivering 20,000 metric tons of diesel at Tin Island Port. The Savanna vessel berthed at Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Phase 3 on Friday, delivering 16,000 metric tons of petrol, while the Kobe vessel arrived at KLT Phase 2 on Sunday, delivering 22,000 metric tons of diesel.
