Early on Sunday, three luxury buses belonging to Silver Transport Company were destroyed by explosions at Mando Motor Park in Kaduna around 3:00 AM. Eyewitnesses reported loud blasts that caused panic, prompting residents and passersby to flee for safety. The buses were stationary and preparing for morning trips when the explosions occurred. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the vehicles were empty at the time. The incident raised concerns about the safety of using compressed natural gas (CNG) in vehicles, with warnings about the need for adequate safety measures. The explosions caused significant damage, leaving the buses completely burnt and disrupting activities within the motor park, leading to a temporary suspension of operations by traders and transport operators in the area. Security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, cordoned off the area to prevent further danger, and preliminary investigations have commenced to ascertain the cause of the explosions.
