Rowe Park Renovations Ready for National Intermediate Games

The Rowe Park Sports Centre in Yaba is being renovated in preparation for the inaugural National Intermediate Games, set to take place from October 1 to 15, 2026. The Lagos State Sports Trust Fund (LSSTF), led by Chairman Wahid Oshodi, has confirmed significant progress on the renovations, which were commissioned to Intemol Consult Limited less than two weeks ago.

LSSTF Executive Secretary Olaposi Agunbiade expressed confidence that the facilities would be ready by mid-September, ahead of schedule, praising the contractor's dedication and the timely release of funds by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Niyi Lawal, representing Intemol Consult Limited, stated that the renovation was initially quoted for three months but accepted a six-week target, with engineers working tirelessly to meet the deadline.

The Indoor Sports Hall and squash courts are expected to be fully operational by the third week of September, marking a significant milestone in Lagos State's commitment to providing world-class sporting venues.
