Seyi Makinde Critiques Tinubu's Vacation Plans in Sokoto

Engineer Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the All Progressives Movement (APM), criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his extended working vacation, stating he would transmit power to his deputy if elected President. During the APM's North-West town hall meeting in Sokoto, Makinde unveiled his Reset Agenda for Nigeria, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive overhaul of the country's economy, education, security, and socio-political systems.

He highlighted the importance of a data-driven approach to education reform to tackle the out-of-school children crisis and called for a reset of Nigeria's security architecture, referencing the recent deaths of 37 youths in Niger State due to failures in the mining sector. Makinde argued for the devolution of mining responsibilities to states and criticized the Federal Government's focus on the supply side of illegal mining.

He expressed concern over the President's absence during his vacation, emphasizing the need for an issue-based campaign.
