Nigerian Builder Creates Solar Generator with 180 Cells

On 18 July, Nigerian DIY electronics builder Kingpresh shared a video on TikTok demonstrating the assembly of a large-scale battery pack paired with a 1600W pure sine wave inverter. He emphasized the inverter's distinction from modified wave units, highlighting its built-in display and cooling system, sourced from a Lagos supplier named King City.

The battery pack consists of 180 lithium cells, each purchased for 1,000 naira from a supplier called Tune Light in the Kuba area. To manage the cells, Kingpresh is utilizing a 6S, 3A active balancer and a 12-volt, 100-amp Battery Management System (BMS) capable of handling up to 200 amps under load.

Charging will be conducted using a 12.6-volt, 10-amp charger. At the time of filming, the project was still in progress, with additional components like latches and switches yet to be completed.

Kingpresh also mentioned taking orders for e-bike and electric bike battery packs, encouraging viewers to reach out for commissions.
