Matawalle Urges Zamfara Support for Tinubu's Security Efforts

On 13 September 2026, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence, called on political associates and former officials from his administration in Zamfara State to rally support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's initiatives aimed at combating banditry and insecurity in Nigeria. This appeal was made during an interactive meeting held in Kaduna, which included former members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly and other political figures who served under Matawalle from 2019 to 2023.

Matawalle emphasized that the protection of lives and property is a fundamental responsibility of any serious government and praised the Tinubu administration for its commitment to addressing insecurity. He urged attendees to promote the Tinubu Again Movement and prepare for the President's re-election campaign in 2027.
