Enugu State to Recruit 6,580 Teachers for Smart Schools

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has sanctioned the recruitment of 6,580 qualified candidates for academic, technical, and administrative positions in public primary and junior secondary schools, particularly targeting the state's 267 Smart Green Schools, which are still under construction. The announcement was made through a job vacancy advertisement by Hyginus Banko, the Executive Chairman of the Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB).

The recruitment includes 4,698 core subject teachers in fields such as Mathematics, English Language, and ICT, along with 520 Digital Librarians, 380 Experiential Learning Innovators, and various other roles. Applicants for teaching positions must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or HND with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and must be registered with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria.

Non-teaching roles require varying qualifications, including degrees in specialized fields or relevant certificates. Candidates must submit a formal application letter, CV, credentials, and proof of age.
