Family Demands Justice After Farmer Found Dead in Kwara

Abdulazeez Abiodun, a farmer known as Kebe, was reported missing after he did not return home from his cocoa farm in Isalu Isin, Kwara State, on July 11, 2026. His daughter, Roifat Abdulazeez, expressed the family's anguish and called for justice, urging security agencies and human rights organizations to investigate the circumstances of his death.

The family became concerned when they could not reach him and alerted local hunters, who later discovered his lifeless body in a bush, tied and allegedly brutally killed. Roifat described her father as a devoted husband and hardworking parent who left home to provide for his family.

She emphasized the need for a thorough police investigation and accountability for the crime, stating that the family has not received updates from the police despite the recovery of her father's motorcycle at the scene. Roifat appealed to journalists, civil society organizations, and community leaders to amplify their case and help seek justice.
