Imo Police Arrest Two in Inspector's Murder Case

The Imo State Police Command arrested two suspects, Olivia Patrick, aged 31, and ThankGod Maurice, aged 25, linked to the murder of a Police Inspector at the residence of Rex Anunobi, the Honourable Commissioner for the Imo State Ministry of Trade, Commerce and Investment, last Monday. The police spokesperson, DSP Henry Okoye, stated that the suspects were apprehended at the scene shortly after the incident was reported.

Following the report, the Commissioner of Police, Audu Garba Bosso, ordered a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the murder and to ensure justice is served. The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) and the DPO of the New Owerri Division conducted examinations at the scene, recovering relevant exhibits.

The deceased Inspector's remains were deposited at the mortuary. The investigation has been transferred to the SCID, with ongoing efforts to apprehend additional suspects.

CP Bosso expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and assured the public that security measures are in place.
