₦12 Million Prize at Zen Archery Int’l Open in Lagos

The 2026 Zen Archery International Open tournament is scheduled to occur in Lagos, Nigeria, from June 18 to June 21, featuring 100 archers from five African countries: Guinea, Zimbabwe, Côte d'Ivoire, Chad, and the host nation, Nigeria. The tournament will offer a total prize pool of ₦12 million, distributed across various competitive categories.

Emmanuel Oyelek, the founder of Zen Archery, stated that the organization is committed to raising the standards of competition in line with global best practices. Aderonk Aderinoy, chairperson of the local organizing committee, emphasized the long-term goal of positioning Nigeria among the elite in world archery, aiming for local champions to compete on a global scale and represent Nigeria at the Olympic Games.

The event is part of efforts to further establish Lagos as a hub for international sporting events.
