New CMD Abdulrahman Shehu Unveils Reform Agenda for FTH Lokoja

Professor Abdulrahman Shehu has been appointed as the Chief Medical Director of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Lokoja. He has introduced a reform agenda aimed at transforming the hospital into a leading center of excellence.

During an interaction with the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kogi State Council, he emphasized the importance of staff welfare, infrastructure development, and quality healthcare delivery. Professor Shehu stated that the hospital's staff are its greatest asset and that creating a conducive working environment is a priority.

He plans to implement measures to motivate staff, including regular meetings to enhance communication, identify challenges, and develop solutions collaboratively. Comrade Segun Ademola Salami, Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, praised Professor Shehu for his early progress in office and urged him to involve all staff members in his initiatives to achieve his goals for the hospital.
