Nigeria's Cricket Teams Maintain ICC Rankings Despite Changes

The latest annual rankings released by the International Cricket Council on Tuesday indicate that Nigeria's men's national cricket team has dropped two places to 36th in the global rankings. This decline occurred despite the team retaining its status among ranked nations.

The women's national cricket team, however, has successfully maintained its position at 26th in the world rankings. The rankings are based on a system that applies 100 percent weight to matches played in May 2025 and 50 percent weight to matches played in the previous two years.

The rankings also reflect significant movements among other top-ranked nations, with India's advantage over England reduced from 14 points to 13 points, and Australia's lead over England narrowing from 18 points to 12 points.
