NSCDC Arrests Two Suspected Bandits in Kwara State

On March 3, 2026, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) arrested two suspected bandits, Abubakar Jubril, aged 28, and Moham Abubakar, aged 26, in Saminaka Community, Patigi Local Government Area, Kwara State. This operation was part of a sustained surveillance effort by the NSCDC, which had been monitoring the area due to increased criminal activity.

The suspects were among three individuals identified in a volatile area, with one suspect managing to escape. Items recovered from the arrested individuals included a pistol with serial number 7886, a mobile phone, drugs identified as tramadol, and cigarettes.

Bala Bodinga, the Kwara State Commandant of the NSCDC, reaffirmed the commitment of the command to ongoing operations aimed at tackling criminal activities and ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state. He warned individuals involved in criminal activities to desist or face the full weight of the law and urged the public to remain vigilant and provide credible information to aid security agencies.
