NSCDC Arrests Two Suspected Cattle Rustlers in Kano

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, arrested two suspected cattle rustlers, Jamilu Sa’adu, 45, and Nura Abdullahi, 37, at a mining checkpoint along the Tudun Wada–Kiru Road in Kiru Local Government Area of Kano State. The arrest occurred in the early hours of Tuesday at approximately 0300hrs while the suspects were transporting a suspected rustled cow in a Sharon Galaxy vehicle with registration number JJN 606 AE.

The cow was found tied down and concealed in the rear section of the vehicle. Two additional suspects, believed to be the principal culprits, fled the scene and are currently at large.

The arrested individuals, along with the recovered cow and two machetes, are in custody as investigations commence to ascertain the full circumstances of the alleged cattle rustling and identify the cow's owner. The NSCDC assured the public that the suspects would be prosecuted following the investigation's conclusion.
