Ogun Mobile Court Convicts 20 Drivers for Traffic Violations

A mobile court session held in Ogun State resulted in the conviction of 20 drivers for multiple traffic offenses, including violations related to seatbelt use, driver’s licenses, and vehicle regulations. The session was presided over by Chief Magistrate O.T.

Odubanjo and was part of a special enforcement operation conducted by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) personnel across the command's operational corridor. A total of 65 traffic offenses were recorded against the offenders, with none sentenced to imprisonment.

The violations included seatbelt violations, speed limit device violations, driver’s license violations, overload tire violations, vehicle license violations, and number plate violations. Akinwunmi Fasakin, the sector command representative, stated that the exercise aimed to ensure motorist compliance with traffic regulations to minimize road crash fatalities in the state.

The mobile court session was conducted peacefully, with armed personnel present to ensure smooth proceedings.
