Ogun PDP Names Toyin Amuzu as 2027 Reps Candidate

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State officially declared Toyin Amuzu as its flagbearer for the House of Representatives election in the Abeokuta South Federal Constituency for the 2027 general elections. This declaration occurred on Sunday after a primary election held at the PDP state secretariat in Ok Mosan, where Amuzu emerged unopposed.

Bola Taiwo, representing Constituency 1, moved the motion to affirm Amuzu's candidacy, which was seconded by Isa Orunsolu from Constituency 2. The primary election was conducted with the supervision of Adebayo Lateef from Ewekoro Local Government Area and Lateef Olowu from Ifo Local Government Area, under the oversight of Akeem Ad Balogun from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Security personnel from the Nigeria Police Force and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps were present to ensure a peaceful and transparent process. Following his emergence, Amuzu expressed gratitude for the support of party leaders and members, pledging to deliver quality representation and impactful legislation for the constituency.
