Isaac Omolehin Reports Homelessness Due to Bandit Threats

Evangelist Isaac Omolehin, founder of Word Assembly Ministries in Ilorin, reported that he and more than 100 vulnerable residents of his camp in Kwara State have been rendered homeless since a police-ordered evacuation in May 2026 due to threats from kidnappers. The evacuation occurred on the midnight of May 30 into May 31, when police warned that kidnappers were approaching.

Omolehin, who was not present during the evacuation, stated that the bandits arrived but found the camp empty. He has since gone into hiding with his family, unable to return home or move freely.

The camp, which served orphaned children, operated a primary and secondary school, a hospital, and a rehabilitation center, is now deserted, and its humanitarian services have ceased. Omolehin has made repeated appeals to the police and other authorities for clearance to return, but has received no response.

He also noted that after the evacuation, thieves began to loot the camp.
