Osun APC Criticizes Adeleke's Park Management Plan

The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned Governor Ademola Adeleke’s directive to replace the current leadership structure at motor parks and garages with a government-backed park management system, deeming it illegal and unconstitutional. This criticism arose after the violent death of Olalekan Oyeyemi, an Accord Party supporter, during a clash between rival factions of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ile-Ife.

The APC, through its Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, stated that the violence erupted during a peace meeting, resulting in Oyeyemi's death and injuries to several others. The party urged the Inspector-General of Police to ensure a thorough investigation into the incident and the alleged involvement of specific individuals.

Furthermore, the APC criticized Adeleke’s response to the violence, particularly his plan to implement the park management system, which they compared to his previous removal of elected APC local government officials through an Executive Order.
