Adeleke Travels to Europe, Orders Probe into Kingship Crisis

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has traveled to Europe for a vacation after the conclusion of the state’s governorship election. His spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, stated that the governor's trip includes medical checks in the United Kingdom, although the duration of his absence from the state was not disclosed.

Adeleke expressed his intention to refresh and prepare to serve the people of Osun State. Concurrently, he has directed an investigation into a kingship crisis in Koka Ilase, where reports indicated the appointment of another monarch while an existing one occupies the stool.

The governor instructed the Osun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to investigate the circumstances of this appointment and ensure compliance with relevant laws and traditions. He urged all stakeholders involved in the dispute to remain calm and peaceful during the investigation, emphasizing adherence to extant laws and regulations governing kingship.
