Fayose Calls for Electoral Vigilance in Osun Election

Isaac Fayose, a public affairs commentator, stated that the upcoming Osun State governorship election could initiate an ‘electoral revolution’ in Nigeria. In a video shared on his Facebook page, Fayose urged eligible voters to protect their electoral rights by actively participating in the election.

He advised voters to go to polling units and collation centres equipped with recording devices to document any attempts at election manipulation or rigging. Fayose emphasized the importance of vigilance during the voting and collation processes to ensure the integrity of their votes.

He declared, “The election revolution we are looking for in 2027 is starting in Osun on Saturday,” and encouraged voters to “Cast your vote, defend your vote and don’t move.” He called for a collective stand against electoral malpractice, stating, “We must stop them from rigging our destiny,” and urged the electorate to assert their right to elect their leaders without coercion.
