Osun Monarchs Endorse Adewinbi for APC Senate Ticket

Traditional rulers from the Ejigbo Local Government Area in Osun State have expressed their support for Brig Gen Bashir Adewinbi to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial ticket for the Osun West Senatorial District in the upcoming 2027 general elections. This endorsement was made public in a statement read by Oba Amuda Adio during a meeting held in Awo, Osun State.

The traditional rulers emphasized the importance of Adewinbi's past contributions to the community and his ability to make a significant impact if given the opportunity to serve. They urged the APC leadership to consider his track record when selecting candidates.

Adewinbi, a retired Brigadier General and former pioneer commander of the Osun State Amotekun Corps, is competing for the APC ticket alongside other aspirants, including Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi and Bade Falad.

The traditional rulers assured that if Adewinbi receives the party's ticket, they would mobilize necessary support for him in the elections.
