Adeleke Campaign Demands Police Action Over Fadahunsi's Comments

The campaign council of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has called on Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu to investigate a viral video featuring Senator Francis Fadahunsi, who represents Osun East Senatorial District. In the video, Fadahunsi, addressing supporters of the All Progressives Congress in Ilesa, allegedly incited violence against members of the Accord Party, urging attendees to attack them.

He challenged those present to record his comments and share them online. Pelumi Olajengbesi, spokesperson for the Adeleke campaign council, condemned the remarks as a serious threat to lives and the peaceful conduct of the upcoming August 15, 2026, governorship election.

Social media reactions included calls for police action, with citizens expressing concern over the threats posed by political differences. Fadahunsi later clarified that his comments were intended to be political and metaphorical, advocating for a rejection of the Accord Party through lawful means at the ballot box.
