Over 20 Killed in Plateau House Invasion Attack

In Plateau, over 20 individuals were confirmed dead following a violent attack by heavily armed assailants who broke into homes around midnight while residents were asleep. Eyewitness Daniel Musa reported that the attackers moved from house to house, forcibly entering and slaughtering victims.

The attack occurred on a Tuesday, and as of the morning following the incident, several others had sustained serious injuries, with some residents still unaccounted for. Bulus Dabit, the National President of the Mwaghavul Development Association (MDA), provided context, noting that this attack came less than a week after three people were killed amid accusations of arson between the Fulani and Mwaghavul communities.

Security officials had not issued a statement regarding the incident at the time of reporting.
