45,000 Litres of Petrol Spill Causes Panic in Ilorin
On Saturday, a significant incident occurred in Ilorin, Kwara State, when approximately 45,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) spilled from a petroleum tanker at Conoil Filling Station along Old Jebba Road at around 5:08 pm. The Kwara State Fire Service, represented by spokesperson Hassan Adekunle, reported that the tanker was transporting PMS from Lagos and was set to discharge at the filling station.

Firefighters quickly deployed chemical foam to mitigate the risk of combustion. Chief Fire Officer Alabi Muhammed praised the firefighters for their swift action, which prevented a potential disaster.
The Nigeria Police Force and Kwara State Road Traffic Management Authority assisted by controlling traffic in the area to ensure safety.
