PDP Chairmen Demand Investigation into Turaki Faction

The 36 State and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), aligned with Minister Nyesom Wike, have urged security agencies to investigate the faction led by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki for alleged "malicious forgery and distortion of court judgments." During a press conference in Abuja, Chairman Austin Nwachukwu claimed that the Turaki-led faction continues to falsely present themselves as a legitimate PDP faction despite being expelled. The chairmen emphasized that the only recognized leadership of the PDP is the National Working Committee, headed by National Chairman Abdulraham Mohammed and National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu.

They condemned the actions of the Turaki faction as a threat to public order and the rule of law, calling for immediate investigation into their activities. Nwachukwu described the situation as criminal deception and urged former President Goodluck Jonathan to publicly distance himself from the Turaki-led faction, invoking his moral authority to address the issue.
