Tinubu Consoles Grieving Mother After Plateau Killings

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu visited Plateau State to comfort a grieving mother featured in a viral video, who was seen clutching the lifeless body of her son, Ayuba, after a recent attack in the Angwan Rukuba area. This attack, which occurred on Sunday, resulted in the deaths of at least 27 individuals.

During his visit, Tinubu expressed his sorrow and acknowledged the pain of the victims' families, stating that no amount of compensation could replace the loss of life. He assured them of the government's support and emphasized the need for justice against the perpetrators of the violence.

Tinubu's visit followed a series of attacks, including a separate incident in Kahir village, Kaduna State, where additional killings and abductions were reported. He condemned these acts as barbaric and cowardly, urging caution against narratives that could inflame religious tensions.
