Plateau Youths Protest After 10 Deaths from Attacks

On Monday, youths in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State protested and blocked highways in response to a recent wave of violence that has left 10 community members dead. The protests were sparked by a gunmen attack on Sunday evening, which resulted in the deaths of seven individuals and left three others seriously injured.

Community leader Rwang Tengwong confirmed the recovery of bodies and reported that the attacks have caused significant loss of life and displacement among residents. Protesters, led by Samson Godiya, expressed their frustration over the government's failure to protect them and vowed to remain on the road until those responsible for the attacks are apprehended and punished according to the law.

The Plateau State Police Command was contacted for comments but did not respond by the time of the report.
