Delta Police Intensify Traffic Law Enforcement in Delta

The Delta State Police Command, represented by Deputy Commissioner of Operations Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has announced a crackdown on traffic offenders in Delta State. In a statement released on Sunday, Adejobi emphasized that the state government has established seven mobile courts to address traffic-related offenses effectively.

These mobile courts will collaborate closely with the police to ensure efficient enforcement of traffic regulations. Adejobi highlighted the importance of every vehicle on Delta roads being properly registered and displaying clear number plates.

He reiterated that all vehicles in Nigeria must be duly registered with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and that unauthorized use of sirens by individuals or groups is prohibited. Furthermore, he stressed that drivers must carry relevant documents, including photocopies of vehicle papers, and that failure to comply with these requirements could result in legal action.

The Deputy Commissioner urged motorists to respect traffic regulations and cooperate with law enforcement personnel to maintain safety on the roads.
