Police Investigate AIG Moshood Jimoh Over Allegations

The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed an investigation into Assistant Inspector-General of Police Moshood Jimoh, who oversees Zone 2 Command, due to allegations made by social media personality Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan. The police stated that Jimoh has been invited for questioning as part of an internal administrative review, while a related criminal matter is currently before a court.

The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, clarified that the criminal matter has been investigated and is now under judicial review, following advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions. The police emphasized that they would not engage in media litigation regarding the case and would not allow public opinion to influence the judicial process.

Additionally, Otse has been formally invited to present his claims at the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Abuja on July 30, 2026. This investigation reflects the police's commitment to addressing credible allegations of misconduct.
