ICPC Reveals Items Recovered from El-Rufai's Residence

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has disclosed a comprehensive list of items recovered during a search of the Abuja residence of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. This disclosure follows a court filing submitted to the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja, where El-Rufai is pursuing a N1 billion lawsuit against the ICPC for alleged unlawful arrest, illegal detention, and improper search of his private residence.

The search, conducted on February 18, involved ICPC officials, personnel from the Nigeria Police Force, and was executed with a valid search warrant. The recovered items include sensitive materials such as investor account statements, asset declaration forms, compliance documents, loan approval papers, and various electronic devices, including nine flash drives, seven hard drives, and multiple mobile phones.

The items have been properly documented and sealed for forensic analysis, although El-Rufai did not grant consent for access to the seized electronic devices.
