Security Forces Arrest Suspects, Recover Weapons in Jos

Security forces in Jos, Plateau State, have intensified their operations to restore order and protect lives and property amid rising tensions in the area. The operations, which were coordinated stop-and-search exercises, focused on identifying flashpoints along key transit corridors, including Jos North, Jos South, Dadinkowa, and Tudun Wada.

According to Chinonso Polycarp Oteh, a media informant from the Joint Task Force, the operations led to the arrest of two suspects. Additionally, security personnel recovered significant arms, including a fabricated AK-47 rifle, four rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, a pump-action firearm, and a cutlass.

These efforts are part of a sustained initiative to ensure safety and security across Plateau State.
