Security Forces Neutralize Bandits in Zamfara Operation

On Friday, security forces from the Zamfara State Police Command's Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) engaged in a confrontation with armed bandits after receiving credible intelligence about their movement. The operation commenced around 12:30 p.m. and quickly escalated into a fierce gun battle as the bandits ambushed the security team with heavy gunfire.

The police operatives responded effectively, resulting in the neutralization of several bandits, while others fled into a nearby forest with injuries. During the encounter, one operational CSK vehicle sustained damage to its wheels.
