2026 Southern Kaduna Festival Set for May 28-30, 2026

The 2026 Southern Kaduna Festival is set to take place from May 28 to May 30, 2026, in Kafanchan, Kaduna State. The event is organized by the Southern Kaduna Leadership Council, with Rear Admiral Ferguson Bobai (Retd) as the chairman of the central planning committee.

Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, will serve as the special guest of honor at the closing ceremony, while former President Olusegun Obasanjo is also expected to attend. The festival's theme, "Embrace Diversity, Build Bridges," aims to promote peace, coexistence, dialogue, and unity among the various ethnic and religious communities in Southern Kaduna.

The festival will feature cultural parades, traditional dance displays, exhibitions of indigenous cuisine, a symposium, and various sports activities, including a marathon and badminton competitions. The inaugural festival was held in 2023, focusing on unity and cultural celebration.

The event will also honor distinguished sons and daughters of Southern Kaduna who have excelled in various sectors.
