Sokoto Governor Aliyu to Provide Grants to Traders Soon

On Thursday evening, Governor Ahmadu Aliyu of Sokoto State announced that the state government is preparing to provide financial grants to traders. This initiative aims to boost business activities in the state, especially as the reconstruction of the burnt section of the Sokoto Central Market nears completion.

Governor Aliyu emphasized the importance of timing, stating that it would not be sensible to disburse grants before traders can operate their shops. He expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of the ongoing reconstruction efforts.

The governor acknowledged the significant role the business community plays in the success of elections and noted the support received from traders during his campaign. Alhaji Bello Bulaki, a business mogul, praised the governor for awarding the reconstruction contract, which he described as a gesture that restores hope for traders.

The event included various speakers who commended the governor's efforts to reclaim the central market and support local businesses.
