LAJA Holds First Meeting of 2026 to Promote Unity

The League of Anambra Journalists Abuja (LAJA) convened its inaugural meeting for the year 2026, aimed at strengthening unity among journalists and promoting the development of Anambra State. The meeting, chaired by Amb Ikenna Okonkwo with Princess Ekwi Ajid serving as secretary, focused on the importance of punctuality and active participation among members.

Chief Emeka Mbagha, a former president of the Anambra State Town Peoples Association (ASTPA), commended the journalists for coming together on a common platform and emphasized their role in shaping the narrative of Anambra State. He urged members to remain connected to their roots and participate actively in town unions.

Dr. Ez Onyebuchi Chukwu, a youth leader in the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), expressed appreciation for the support from LAJA and called for a broader engagement on issues affecting the Igbo nation.

The meeting concluded with a call for unity and mutual support among Anambra people to foster development and security in the state.
