Kaduna ADC Congress Rejected, Ambut Affirmed as Chair

Stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kaduna State have officially rejected the congress conducted in the state, labeling it as illegal and unconstitutional. They affirmed Elder Patrick Didam Ambut as the rightful state chairman of the party.

During a press conference held on Thursday, Ambut explained that the congress represented a coordinated attempt by certain individuals to hijack the party's structure for narrow, selfish interests. He emphasized that there was no coalition or external influence involved in the party's leadership decisions.

The stakeholders stated that the congress was conducted without proper consultation or approval from the recognized organs of the ADC, rendering the process invalid. They declared the congress null and void, asserting that any leadership structure resulting from it would not be recognized.

The stakeholders also mentioned that a court order had previously restrained Ambut from being the party chairman, but they have since withdrawn the litigation.
