Cultists Kill Security Guard in Lagos, Injure Three Others

On Saturday evening, a security guard identified as Godwin was killed by suspected cultists in the Abule Ijesha area of Yaba, Lagos State. Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants arrived in a vehicle, confronted Godwin near his duty post, shot him in the head, and subsequently attacked him with an axe.

Following the attack, the gunmen fired sporadically into the air as they fled, instilling fear among local residents. A police source, who requested anonymity due to lack of authorization to comment, confirmed the incident and stated that security operatives had initiated an investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of this violent act.

The community has been left in a state of panic following the brutal attack.
