Bwacha Accuses Taraba Governor of EFCC Intimidation

Emmanuel Bwacha, a former senator, accused Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas of utilizing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to intimidate opposition figures. Bwacha made these allegations in a statement issued by his media aide, Joshua Yohanna Nafinji, on Thursday.

He expressed concern over the recent invitations extended by the EFCC, suggesting they were politically motivated. Bwacha described the increasing use of state institutions to harass political opponents as alarming, particularly in light of the circumstances surrounding the EFCC's actions.

He referenced the disappearance of Hon. Muktar Kawujo ahead of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) primaries as indicative of a troubling trend.

Bwacha urged the Taraba State government to uphold democratic principles and promote fair political competition, emphasizing the need for transparency and tolerance in the political landscape.
