APC Chieftain Vatsa Critiques Tinubu's Economic Policies

Jonathan Vatsa, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State and former Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, condemned the economic reforms implemented by President Bola Tinubu's administration. He stated that many Nigerians are experiencing starvation and hardship due to the removal of the fuel subsidy.

In a statement issued in Minna, Vatsa expressed his support for Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, regarding his comments on the subsidy removal. Vatsa criticized the government for continuing a policy that he claims has failed to benefit ordinary Nigerians, instead favoring state governors and political office holders.

He argued that the subsidy removal has exacerbated poverty among low-income earners and has led to excessive spending by governors, many of whom now own private jets. Vatsa called for the reversal of the subsidy removal policy and an apology from Tinubu to the Nigerian people for the resulting hardships.
