Three Kidnappers Killed in Oyo State Rescue Operation

On May 25, 2026, a coordinated operation by the Oyo State Police Command and local hunters led to the neutralization of three suspected kidnappers during a gun duel in Oyo State. The operation was initiated following a distress call regarding the abduction of a 50-year-old man, Mosudi Gbolagad, who was held captive in the Okaka area.

The police reported that Gbolagad sustained gunshot injuries during the incident and is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital. The operation successfully rescued him without any casualties among the local hunters.

The police recovered an AK-47 rifle, a single-barrel gun, and a machete at the scene, indicating the violent intent of the criminals.
