Tinubu Renews Yelwa’s Appointment As N-HYPPADEC MD

Tinubu has renewed Yelwa's appointment as the Managing Director of N-HYPPADEC, in accordance with Section 93 of the Electricity Act 2023. The reappointment was announced on Wednesday through a statement issued by the Director of Information in the Public Relations Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Yelwa is tasked with building on the achievements of the Commission during his first term, focusing on managing ecological challenges and addressing the developmental needs of the community hosting the hydroelectric power project. His responsibilities include environmental management, infrastructure development, and improving the livelihoods of the affected community.

Yelwa is expected to drive innovation, enhance project execution, and ensure that the Commission delivers on its statutory mandate.
