Troops Find 7 Terrorist Graves After Kukareta Attack

Following a failed attack on Kukareta in Borno State, Nigerian troops uncovered seven additional graves believed to belong to ISWAP terrorists killed during the engagement. The discovery was made during ongoing clearance operations after an earlier confrontation on April 23, which resulted in the neutralization of 24 insurgents.

Along with the graves, two additional bodies of suspected ISWAP fighters were found along the withdrawal route, confirming significant casualties for the insurgents. The troops also recovered a cache of arms and ammunition at the scene, including 18 AK-47 rifles, three general-purpose machine guns, two anti-aircraft guns, three RPG tubes, two mortar tubes, four hand grenades, and a large quantity of 7.62mm ammunition.

The military continues to exert pressure on the insurgents, maintaining aggressive patrols and clearance operations to prevent further attacks and degrade the operational capabilities of the terrorist group.
