Nigerian Troops Kill 12 Terrorists, Rescue 40 Civilians

Over the course of one week, Nigerian troops executed multiple operations that led to the deaths of at least 12 terrorists, the arrest of 25 suspects, and the rescue of 40 civilians. According to Major General Michael Omoja, the Director of Defence Media Operations, these operations disrupted kidnapping networks and destroyed criminal enclaves.

In the North East, operations in Borno State resulted in the killing of three terrorists and the arrest of four collaborators, rescuing 20 civilians. In the North West, troops killed seven terrorists and rescued 15 kidnap victims across Zamfara, Katsina, and Kaduna, recovering three AK-47 rifles and other military equipment.

Additionally, operations in the North Central region led to the arrest of 10 suspects linked to terrorist networks. Troops also dismantled illegal oil refining sites and recovered large quantities of stolen petroleum products.

The operations underscore the commitment of the Nigerian Armed Forces to restore peace and stability across the country.
