Troops Arrest IPOB Medical Team Members in Plateau Killings

Troops have arrested members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) medical team and Miyetti Allah in relation to killings in Plateau State. Major General Michael Onoja reported the apprehension of Simon Chukwumeoru Akpok, linked to an IPOB camp in Anambra State, and Ezinna Anthonia, a principal nurse treating wounded IPOB members.

The arrests represent a significant blow to the medical logistics supporting IPOB and the Eastern Security Network (ESN). Additionally, on March 30, 2026, troops arrested Alhaji Yahaya Bello Shanono, chairman of Miyetti Allah in Mangu, and his secretary Salihu Mohammed, in connection with the murder of Alhaji Bilyaminu Juld in Mangu LGA.

The suspects are currently undergoing preliminary investigations. The military continues to emphasize its commitment to maintaining peace and addressing terrorism through both kinetic and non-kinetic strategies.
