Troops Repel Bandit Attack on Workers in Kebbi

Troops from the 8 Division of the Nigerian Army, led by spokesman Lt. Col. Olaniyi Osoba, successfully repelled an attack by bandits on construction workers in Kebbi. The incident occurred when the troops received a tip-off about the impending attack and responded immediately.

They engaged the attackers with superior firepower, which compelled the bandits to retreat into the forest. Following the confrontation, the troops conducted an exploitation of the area, recovering three motorcycles that had been abandoned by the fleeing attackers.

The construction workers were safely rescued from the bushes and returned to their camp without reported injuries. This operation underscores the proactive measures taken by the Nigerian Army to ensure the safety of civilians in conflict-prone areas.
