Turaki and Wabara Meet to Resolve PDP Party Crisis

The Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) conducted a closed-door meeting with the Wabara-led Board of Trustees (BoT) to discuss the ongoing party crisis. This meeting marks the third engagement held within a week, following a similar meeting on Wednesday.

Turaki's faction has shown a willingness to reconcile with other camps, particularly those aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory. Ongoing discussions have indicated encouraging signs towards reaching a truce.

Meanwhile, the caretaker committee of the PDP, led by Wike, has expressed openness to reconciliation; however, they insist that certain conditions must be met, including the party's plan for a national convention scheduled for March 29-30. Among those present at the ongoing meeting were the former governors of Niger and Kano states, as well as former ministers.
