Two Policemen Die in Imo State Road Accident

On June 29, 2026, a tragic road accident occurred along Amakalu Umuelemma Road in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area, resulting in the deaths of two policemen from the Imo State Police Command. The accident involved seven police officers who were on official duty.

According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Henri Okoy, the command has commenced a thorough investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the accident. The two deceased officers succumbed to injuries after receiving medical treatment, while five other personnel are currently hospitalized.
