Ogun Police Arrest Two Suspected Kidnappers Linked to Edo

The Ogun State Police Command arrested two suspects, Gafaru Adamu (25) and Muham Sanni (20), in connection with a kidnapping and murder case involving two hostages in the Okada area of Edo State. The arrests were made in Ijebu Ode following intelligence-driven investigations by the anti-kidnap unit.

The police spokesperson, Oluseyi Babaseyi, indicated that the suspects are believed to be part of a seven-man kidnapping syndicate linked to the crime. During the operation, law enforcement recovered a pair of police camouflage uniforms and three mobile phones, which are believed to be relevant to the investigation.

The Ogun State Police Command is set to transfer the suspects and recovered exhibits to the Edo State Police Command for further investigation and potential prosecution, as the alleged offenses occurred outside Ogun State. Bode Ojajuni, the Ogun State Police Commissioner, commended the operation, emphasizing the importance of inter-state collaboration in combating crime.
